Interesting thanks! I've actually had tequila in coffee once - and while I've never tried cinnamon schnapps the taste I remember from the tequila + black coffee... certainly could have been described as a cinnamon like "bite." Odd that I remember it so clearly, as it was a looooong time ago!

I only started drinking for the first time a few months ago and haven't tried tequila yet but I imagine I will sooner or later.

It's... very different. It's a set of flavors unlike any other I've encountered and I believe 9 times out of 10 I'd find them unpleasant, but for someone who truly enjoys tequila I can see why and I can also see why no other beverage or food will satisfy the craving for that particular taste.

As far as spirits go I enjoy sipping a good bourbon, I love beer of kinds, hell in this summer weather even a nice dry vodka martini is refreshing but tequila... tequila is very intense.

Some spirits like gin or rum I can't stand - tequila is one of those that while, more often than not I don't enjoy it, I can appreciate what others see in it and its nuances. Do yourself a favor - if you're going to try it make sure you request something that's spent a bit of time in the barrel.

I thought I liked rum at first then I drank a liter of it in about 2 hours. I don't know if I am ever going to drink rum again after that.... lol

Wow that... that is just devastating. A particular "dock drink" I remember involved a coconut rum and pineapple juice. Cloying, yes and tasted like sunscreen smelled - but in all the best ways. I can see where that COULD go down liters at a time... I can also see the massive headache the next morning... er afternoon... though ;)

Aldi are selling 2 litre bottles of pear cider for £3 for anyone in the UK! You feel like a pikey but you get nicely drunk for £6 :D

Edit : It tastes like white lightning with pear cordial :S , but if your skint then its awesome!
