I personally like that it can be acquired fairly cheaply while I don't need too much of it to get drunk.
Plus, it burns. I like how the burning sensation wanders down my throat and then settles in my stomach.

I have lost the ability to get drunk. I'm serious. I can drink a lot of everything and the worst that's going to happen to me is I will throw up and have a headache the next morning. No real numbness, dizziness, drowsiness, loss of inhibition, memory loss, lessened reflexes, none of that at all.

And I mean, I've always had ridiculously high tolerance to alcohol and other fun substances but the past few years it's just dumb. Especially with alcohol, I cannot get buzzed. It's become downright impossible. And it sucks. I still love the taste of beer, of bourbon, of a good single malt or a nice mezcal or whatnot, but that's it. That's what's become of me. I now drink because I like the taste. *sigh*

Laying off the hard stuff. Settled for some Strawberry Ale from Red Apple. Nice flavor, dry, almost like a white wine with strawberries in it. Tasty.

Had my last working day before summer vacation today. Barbecued sausages and Beer later followed by Vodka for me. Wohoo! Summer vacation! :D

I wish it would stop raining occasionally and there to be some steady sunshine. And warmth. Typical Swedish summer weather can be hard on vacations. And the mood.

Damn, had too many beers with my GF and a good buddy yesterday. Came home after 5 AM, slept for five hours, no hangover but still kinda drunk and my stomach's killing me. On the bright side, I was drunk enough to do karaoke for the first time and it turns out that after a couple of beers I'm actually a decent singer - well, excluding excessive belching that replaces 10% of the lyrics.
