You don't need to register on Discord to view and quickly talk on the server, however it is appreciated so you can keep your name, avatar and any servers you will join in the future. Discord will run on your browser and also has clients for desktop and mobile.

Something bad happened with the old one?

I have a question, probably stupid, please forgive me. I have installed Discord long ago and I'm not using it, but at some point I've joined two GOG servers (official, unofficial, I have no idea). How is this one going to be different?

Assuming you were even banned from one I wonder why that would be. Weird that you left the other two, I'm sure those were unrelated. Admin changed so old admin created a new one. Nothing bad really happened.

In general? I wouldn't say bad. Things happened, things changed, as it goes. Different strokes etc.

Actually yes you can. There's a dedicated channel for non-DRM-free, after all.

How many channels you got?

Three restricted ones (rules, server news and GOG news), five text channels (DRM-free, non-DRM-free, general, spam, voice chat) and three voice channels. If things need be, a sixth text channel may open for images and videos.
