I'm happy for you. A little companionship goes a long ways and dogs in my experience are the best listeners. I had a Black Labrador named Chad when I was growing up. All he wanted was to spend time with people. If we left him alone he would climb our fence and walk down to the nursing home and spend the day there. The old folks loved him. Looking back it makes me feel guilty because it meant at least some of the time, he was lonely.
