I know that there are numerous threads thanking GOG for what they are.
I know that there are uncountable giveaways threads where people thank the donators which should be natural.

But I want to open a thread to thank people I met here because I appreciate their being here and posting. And please, feel free to join in.

First and foremost I want to thank a person, who's comments and posts brighten nearly every day of mine. Someone who's contributions are often funny, witty, sometimes silly, goofy, frivolous, ludicrous, clownish or fooling about. But more often than not they indicate a hidden depth, a wisdom that comes from life's experience (and probably an encyclopedic knowledge of high AND pop culture). Someone who conceals a philosopher's heart in seemingly superficial humor. And it's also the person that wrote the first PM to me on this site.
Thank you, I'm always looking forward to your posts and are almost never disappointed. I know you had a few gross trials in your life, but I think you've grown with them. And I hope it's not a painful joke to you when I say "You've got balls".
Thank you, TinyE

The second person I want to thank is IAmSinistar. Thank you for putting a lot of effort into this site - I know you are someone with ideals, and you said - this is one way to promote them. But thanks even more for a lot of insightful (and exceedingly elaborate) posts in numerous threads. Thanks for always being polite and helpful - and teaching quite some new words and expressions (though it might take a while before I'll use them actively).
Thank you!

Thanks also to a member that caught my eye only recently. I thank you CatinheHeat. As I already said in a certain thread I very much appreciate people "coming out" with being different. I think it's a thing that changes the world for the better in long term, but the individuals doing it are in danger of being treated with intolerance and scorn. More selfishly I have to say that hearing about your problems and the daily discrimination you are subject to makes life easier for me - my troubles suddenly don't feel as heavy as they did before. I've always tried to connect to people who live a very different life than I do. I think it opens the mind and leads to an increased understanding how awesomely rich this world is. I thank you very much, and if there is anything I can do (and if it's listening) just PM me.

Last (for now) but not least I want to thank Soyeong for a civil discussion on a delicate and sensitive subject in a thread that (hopefully) rests in peace for the time being. I know there was no conclusion, but I think that would have nearly impossible anyway. And although there was some bickering between us, I was very surprised at how cool and patient the discussion went along. Also it inspired me to (re-)read a few things, learn some new things, gather my wits and all in all you helped me in a way to find some peace with my "supernatural" quirks. Thank you too!

Edit: 3 times proof reading and still typos *grrr*

I'd thank tinye.
Tarnicus

and all of my favorite other monkeys (Sachys, monkeydelarge or however you spell it.)

All have been very cool with me.

And anyone who's given me a gift and also anyone who's participated in my giveaways.
I'll +1 all of those you mentioned, and have to agree that TinyE often makes me laugh out loud when reading threads. I'm embarrassed to admit there are plenty more that deserve some kudos, but my mind's drawing a blank right now (must be age setting in. Yeah, that's it).
I would thank everyone who was posting in the tracking thread and main thread during the Spring Insomnia Sale. Not just those contributing to lists and times but also to those who just talked about random stuff. The same goes for those who posted during the first one. That is where most of the fun was for me during the sale.

Hickory is a user who seems to always be able to answer questions related to Infinity Engine games. A big kudos to you, man.

Samlii is another user that doesn't seem to get the thanks they deserve. Rep is irrelevant but I always +1 any post this guy makes. If you are reading this Samlii, the offer I made to you in PM still stands, man
I'm always giving +1 to TinyE.He needs all the help he can get to get back his 3rd rep star which he loses daily it seems.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: TinyE is a hoot (large Michigan inflection in the word "hoot"). It's always a pleasure to read some good humor.

There are tons of awesome folks on here. Kudos to all of you for wasting time with me!

As much as I value your sharing your experiences - this is supposed to be a thread about thanking people. I would appriciate some effort to keep it line.

(I know it's hard)
I'd like to thank my mother and father for bringing me into this world. God for caring about and making sure I get to play the games I love. The writers, producers, sound engineers - er, wait, wrong thread.

That said, yes, tE is always a good read.

I'm reasonably certain TinyE understands and appreciates comments like that, but I'm sorry if it seemed derailing to you. Poe's Law and all that.

It's not "derailing" if I gather your meaning. It's just - I wanted to make a thread were people can thank other people here on this site.Just because they fell like it. Perhaps I wasn't too clear about that. I found your post funny - no offense taken - but it derailed by purpose.
Hmm.. Edited, my thank you to the whole GOG community, indiscriminately, with a little sadness not one person really stand by me as deserving my genuine gratefulness, however, in all honesty.. :(
