I'm too old for games with a competitive aspect, I swear a lot because of that. I'm pretty sure that my victory was fueled by an obscene amount of swearing. :|

As for swearing, depending on the game, for me it's part of the experience :P

I have played a bit of Twilight Princess. Not that much, because of busyness and other reasons. I did make it past the first dungeon and a bit further. It's kinda hard thinking of things to say about Zelda games, both because they've been widely discussed to death and because the forum is obviously mostly PC-centric. The game is fine. It's unbelievably boring for the first couple of hours or so though, which is probably why I'd never played further. It's not really a case of it being a slow build-up, you're basically just running errands. Some of the more popular Zelda games like Ocarina or BotW are a bit better about that. It's fun afterwards though.

There's not really a lot of racing games on GOG, so I was curious if that's one of the better ones.

Still, I’m not particularly proud of my feeling that much frustration and venting it so badly. ;P

FlatOut 2 gets a solid 4 of 5 from me, despite its annoying, cheating AI - curse you Sofia!(Beware of the car with the gray marker on the minimap, it will always catch up in no time.) Overall it’s a fun game, with physics often causing hilarious situations - just don’t let your competitive side forget it’s just a game. >.>

I've started playing Runaway 2 and made it to chapter 4 so far. I have to say that it is a weird game. There's a lose connection between the chapters, but somehow it feels like each one was written by a different person. And none of them had any idea where the others wanted to go with the story.

It's still not a bad game though. The cartoony graphics and cutscenes still look fine and the voice acting is pretty good for the most part. Also most of the puzzles makes sense and you can figure them out on your own. Game suffers from the typical adventure game problem though: Sometimes you know exactly what to do, but can't do it, because you haven't triggered a certain dialogue or event yet.

One thing that is bad, is that you can't skip the cutscenenes. Especially in chapter two, you have to watch them over and over and over again when you want to talk to a certain person (and you have to do that a lot.

I'll continue playing and I am curious how they will end the strange story.

Definitely worth trying. I loved that game – it's just a pure fun! :D

I'm not sure if it makes me want to play R2, but R1 was fun and classic 2D hand-drawn point&click games has something that makes them worth playing even if they are a bit meh :)
By the way – have you played Crowns and Pawns: Kingdom of Deceit perhaps? I've tried the demo and it feels like a reincarnation of a spirit of old-school p&cs, feels like Broken Sword for me :)

I would say, if you liked the first one, this one is ok too. The humor is pretty similar and you'll meet some characters from the first game again. The whole story is quite weird though and doesn't feel consistent.

About Crowns and Pawns: Kingdom of Deceit: I haven't bought or played it yet. It looks kind of nice, but when it comes to point and click adventures I prefer old-school pixel graphics (like most of the wadjet Eye games). or hand-drawn cartoony graphics (The Little Acre was similar to the Runaway series, but it seems it's no longer available at GOG).
