Gee golly I would sure like to use my wireless xbox controller with Turok. I bought the game for this VERY REASON.

Controller is connected but the game doesn't work with it AND in the settings there is no option to use a controller either. Please help guys, it would be much appreciated!

What version of xbox controller?

Good question. The original Xbox controller i believe had a un-official driver, which only works on XP.

The 360 ones, you might be able to force. I have a knock-off wireless hub which works with official drivers, and i've used the last 8 years with 360 controllers.

Though honestly, i'd rather give more money to Vilros than Microsoft or Sony for controllers.

I'm neither an expert for controllers, nor do I own "Turok", but from the little that I know, the "wireless" could be a cause for issues.
Don't you have a wired model to try?

Accordingly to the description from the game's page, one of the new features is the "ability to freely rebind all [...] gamepad inputs."
I also found screenshots, that show gamepad buttons in the settings menu. [attachments]

If that isn't done inside the game itself, have you looked whether there is an extra "settings/config"-file within the game files, where you can change these settings (prior to the actual game start)?

Edit: you write "Controller is connected but the game doesn't work with it"...did you connect the controller BEFORE or AFTER you started the game?
If you did it AFTER you started the game,...
- close the game again,
- disconnect the controller,
- reconnect the controller again,
- and then start the game again.
Sometimes that helps.

Yeah, that might just require a multimodal controller like the 8bitdo. Otherwise you may as well shrug.

I played it on Xbox. Controls are actually really terrible, just stick to KBM. It plays like an actual FPS that way and you'll just be complaining about how the gamepad support is terrible.

Turok Remake sold on GOG? My controller works fine with it.

Mind you, I also use an 8bitdo reciever that allows me to switch between direct input and x-input modes.

The remastered Turok works fine with both my controllers. Neither are wireless however.
