A "beefy" PC starts with something like a Radeon RX 470 or Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB imo. Both represent a serious increase of gpu power over integrated graphics of any sort (even APU's). Both can handle pretty much any game out there right now at 1080p ~60fps (some games at reduced settings o/c).
You can convince anyone you have a beast PC if you just add some RGB lights and a temper glass case unless the parts inside look old as heck.

I consider any PC with a Ryzen 7, 3rd gen Ryzen or a new Intel I7 ro I9 processor and a GPU that is a GTX 1080 or better a beefy computer. Idk as much about AMD GPUs but they can also be beefy.
I have a related doubt: If I like miniPCs and the mini-ITX format in general, does that make me the PC hardware equivalent of a vegetarian? Asking the really important questions here :P.

Oh, but I'm just a humble philosopher with no such grand aspirations :P.

Vegetarian, maybe.
To be proper vegan, IMHO, would require not just anaemic performance, but also truly open hardware, not Broadcom's secret sauce.
