Hello, so ofcourse there is a lost game that I’m trying to find since I was younger. The whole idea of the game was to basically escape the rising lava beneath the character.

Info:

So there is this small cowboy looking guy (maybe Indiana Jones look) who needs to escape the lava underneath him that will shortly burn him alive. There is no way to control this character whatsoever so instead you have to use the rope which swings from left & right, you then have to time it very well to get the ripe to attach onto the spinning wheels which have different speeds.

If you do manage to land on the spinning wheel but miss the next one above you, then you fall down and risk landing in the lava.

Then that specific gameplay continues. From what I can remember I think there was a level bar on the right side which tells you how far you are to the top and how far the lava has raised.

This ofcourse was really fun and scary. It did have some scary escape music

If anybody knows, this would be greatly appreciated!

IMPORTANT EDIT:

I’ve also just realised that there is no rope in the game. I think the character in question sticks on the spinning wheel and then you have to time yourself to leap to the next spinning wheel. He is a tiny pixelated character but still possible to notice he could be a cowboy

Maybe?
Oohh looks interesting! English title 'The Miracle of Almana'. Even has an english patch. But since there's an english patch, that suggests it was never released in the US. (at least not officially, maybe another game swapped sprites and goes under another name as a bootleg)

Maybe give us a time frame as a reference? We don't know how old you are or when you where "younger"...
70s? 80s? 90s? 00s? 10s?
Also: what system? PC, consoles, mobile?

If there's no real controls, that doesn't so much sound like a PC game, but closer to a flash game. A lot of flash games had uber simple mechanics, hell One Finger Death Punch uses left and right mouse buttons pretty much exclusively, That's how simple the game controls/mechanics would be.

Since it may be a flash game, might glance over Kongregate.

I went on the Reddit to post my request as that might be more appropriate. Appreciate you participating in the search!
