Who made it? Who's behind it? Who's funding it? What's different between it and POL? IT's not on the MINT app store. Why? Is it legit?

Lutris is a game launcher. Yes it is legit. It has more features than play on Linux. POL is an interface for wine. Lutris is an interface for wine, native Linux steam, emulators etc.
