catpower1980: The thing that's more infuriating is that in this example, she lost her save but her gamecard still shows her achievement and her playtime so I don't know how they coded their save system at EA but it looks totally broken (normally, she should also have lost her playtime and achievements if everything was tied)
amok: hmm.. no, I dont think so. Game time and achievements unlocked are separate from game saves, so it makes sense to me if game saves got messed up, then those can still be fine. Game time and achievements are external meta-data in relation to the game, save games are integrated into the game.
mmmm, I would partially disagree with that. Looks like with EA they code them separately but you can perfectly implement gametime and achievements within the game (using the "PlayerPrefs" data in Unity for example)
