I saw a suggestion on another forum about the Stronghold HD soundtrack and downloaded it. Great so far. If you got it from the gog giveaway give it a try. I have also read suggestions about the witcher 3 soundtracks, will probably download these next.

What are your favorites? What do you suggest I listen to next? From the games that have soundtracks I have all the witchers, the stalkers, the system shocks, the Neverwinter Nights, shadowrun dragonfall and most of the freebies from last year like eador genesis.

And some technical questions.
I download these to my smartphone so I suppose the mp3 versions are enough, flacs won't make a difference on a smartphone, right?
How do you generally organize these on a smartphone? I made a "soundtracks" folder in the file explorer (android xiaomi miui) and extract the zips I download in that folder and each soundtrack has its own subfolder. Is this what most people do?
Pharaoh is extremely chilled and relaxing, and perfect for the ancient Egypt setting.

Medal of Honor Frontline is at least on par with any war movie soundtrack.

World of Warships has a selection of very energetic combat tracks and moving port tracks. Alternatively you can choose a dynamic system that gets more intense when you're closer to the enemy, spotted and/or engaged.

Diablo 1 and 2 and the original NES Metroid. I tend to turn off music on all other games.
I've been watching Studio Mudprints stream a bunch of 1943 Kai lately, and I must say, I dig the background music. My personal favorite game tunes are from the Mario and Sonic games, The Guardian Legend, Ecco The Tides of Time, and Mechwarrior 2.
I have four soundtracks I consider my favorites, with some specific tracks in general being particular favorites.

Perfect Dark
It just sounds like perfect science fiction action, with tracks that suit every level in the game. Something about both the main menu theme and the Carrington Institute theme also makes them the most memorable tracks to me.

Carrington: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMVcj-vIWug

Deadly Premonition
Life is Beautiful. Anyone who has played this game will know what I mean. Other tracks are still great for what they are. But this iconic piece alone made me by the game on Steam with the soundtrack.

Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light
Haunting and absolutely beautiful.
The Tower: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_mmMAukry0

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Every track in this game is completely memorable to me, whether it's the calm exploration music or the more chaotic combat pieces.

My favorite soundtracks are from the games Xenogears, Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy 7, Xenosaga Episode I, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Bio Menace, Rise of the Triad, and Metal Slug 3. And my favorite individual tracks from other games are the boss music from Lunar: Eternal Blue, Stan Bush's Warrior track from Shadow Warrior 2, and the title themes from Wild Arms, Lunar: Silver Star Story, Suikoden III, Xenosaga Episode II, Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner, Ys: The Oath in Felghana, Tales of the Abyss, Odin Sphere, and Far Cry 3.
In no particular order, here's for starters:

System Shock 2 - Engineering
System Shock 2 - Med Sci 1
Everything in Monkey Island 2.
Some of the KQVI tracks (and a couple from other Sierra games) including the instrumental of Girl in the Tower
Morrowind
No love for "Interstate '76"!?

SHAME!
Hm not all that much into game soundtracks in general, many have amazing theme songs or specific themes but I don't necessarily enjoy listening to them on their own.

... but: my favourite ones by far are the Myst II-IV soundtracks, often listen to them while working too, very relaxed and they really enhanced the atmosphere in these games.

The Witcher games also have excellent soundtracks I think, especially part III.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter has a good one as well, a bit similar to the Myst games Id say..

Lately I've been listening to the Deus Ex HR and MD soundtracks occasionally, pretty relaxing too, except for the fighting segments.
