Hello, I need help.. I was playing W1 and now galaxy player say, did my safed files are bigger than gog cloud.. it asked me to delete some files but doesn't allow me to launch the game. If I cancel synchronization with cloud, it also doesn't allow me to launch game. I really wouldn't like to lose last safed positions. Can you tell me somebody what to do please? Thank you.

Are you actually using the cloud saving system, or are you using it just because it's on offer?

If you're playing TW1 on just one machine and you aren't concerned your rig is going to crash anytime soon you might as well turn off the feature and just use your local saves. Hell, like Breja said, stop using Galaxy entirely.
GOG recently reduced the cloud size per game and The Witcher 1 save files are big, if like me you save a lot, your save folder might be very heavy. Your only choice are play without Galaxy or turn off cloud save for this game in Galaxy.

The Witcher 1 writes every auto-save and quick-save to a separate slot.

Try to delete irrelevant save files ( sort them by date ) from directory:
~/Documents/The Witcher/saves/

I recommend to disable auto-saves in game settings. And use manual saves instead of quick-saves, when possible.
