the Ghost in a shell pvp game that recently got released and died just as quickly, I downloaded it took time to read the manual logged in and instantly like 39 high level people mobed me, took turns killing me at the respawn point.... I logged out after 15 min removed the game from my system and never looked back. PVP just doesn't appeal to me especialy if your mixed in with high level people.

on the other hand I am still playing Far Cry 5, as every npc you come across has at least one like that either pisses you off or makes you laugh. I'm enjoying it alot.

PS: so now you're in love with emotional lee? but what happened to bruce lee! >:(

Black and White 2 crushed me. I mean really crushed me. I was waiting so long, then checked a release date and discovered it was to be released next week! I had dug into B&W 1, and found the hidden gems and more intricate logic involved. I fired up B&W2 and found a shell of a graphics demonstration with a cheap mechanic to give it the illusion of a game.

It was the only time molyneaux got me (admittedly he'd left by then, but his stain remained). I was always sufficiently cynical to the rest, but with B&W2 they just needed to fix this cracks in number one!

Metal Gear Solid 2. That game changed what I knew about life. It challenged everything I knew about it, which was very little.

It had such a profound effect on me because I was very young and knew nothing about how the world works and this game gave me a glimpse into the human soul, made me a part of the human condition and challenged me on what I know about human nature.

I still think about the convoluted and self-contradicting story today and since the story is so long and winding there are bits and pieces that makes sense on their own. The ones that make no sense are the most provocative ever because when you get to the point where they make sense to you, you realize something and learn something new at the same time. Now that's a story.
In the opening mission of Call of Duty Black Ops you're send on a mission to assassinate Fidel Castro and shoot him in the forehead. Of course in every FPS you kill people, but shooting Fidel Castro feels so utterly wrong: it's not only the murder of a person, but the murder of an ideal as well. The following is less horrendous luckily (but I won't post spoilers).

Yeah! I remember when Aeris died in Final Fantasy 7, I was like:

MEH!

That's the strongest negative gaming reaction I remember.

On the positive reactions though, many games have certainly made me burst out laugh. Monkey Island 2, Grim Fandango, Space Quest IV, 4D Sports: Driving (the tunny crashes) etc.

Couldn't you shoot him in the dick instead? That would have felt less wrong.

That reminds me: the phosporous rocket attack order thingie in Spec Ops: The Line kinda put me off, but not so much because lots of virtual civilians died, but because the game tried to be more "clever" there than it really was. It was like the game was moralizing me for ordering the attack, when in reality the game didn't give me any other choice, other than stop playing the game. That was such a stupid moral gimmick that... something.

are you high or there is other reason to type like that?
Mass Effect 3. My reaction: "I SPENT 60 BUCKS FOR THIS"!?
I'm not referring only to the abysmal ending (undoubtedly the worst moment) but the game in its entirety. Is is just so, so bad.
I don't remember strong reactions of mine (by best friend shattered his most beloved game&watch against the wall, once, which still makes us laugh decades later). Also I have been touched by Sands of Times, but just like by any sweet tale on any medium.

I remember a couple of dread-filled "oh hell, no way", when AvP and System Shock 2 asked me to enter areas that seemed way too dangerous (the -actually very inoffensive- Derelict, and the Rickenbacker, respectively). Edit: Oh yeah and Nosferatu terrified me a bit, strangely.

I remember a strong hatred for the enemies in a couple of games, like the serial killer in Sierra's Manhunter: New York and Manhunter: San Francisco. Also hatred and revulsion for the enemy forces in Homeworld: Cataclysm (their reveal was a strong "oh hell" moment, that I never forgave them, and things got only more atrocious from there on), and also for the Penumbra Black Plague trickster after its nastiest trick. That was also an intense moment.

So, not sure if they count as X-Treeeeme. Intense, but awesome, and part of the greatness of these games. But I've been more disturbed by sequences in the Walking Dead comics (issue 100 is tough), and Death Note (the satanas-ex-machina demise of two winning 'good guys' characters). Both are excellent aswell, but the punch-in-the-gut they provide is at a different level than any videogame I've played so far.

That is real bad taste. I wonder what would have happened if they made you shoot Obama (or any non Commie leader for what matters).

Also, hoi Fairfox! XD

The really offensive part is that Fidel Castro is dead. :P

WTF, are you supposed to dig him up, shoot him, and them re-bury him?
