You've bought games on GOG for friends that have illegitimate copies of them in order to encourage them to drink the GOG coffee and due to them being DRM-free, over time they have succumbed to GOG sales and started buying games here that they might have otherwise just obtained a free copy of from elsewhere because it was more convenient and reliable for them to do so - even though they sometimes could just get a GOG version free also, but choose to pay for it instead.
