Would you like to see the Battlecruiser Millenium games et al on GOG?

Looks like it is a sound possibility, if people want them enough.
Looks like fun, looks like it'd be popular here.
No!

I do not want to see Derek Smart RUIN GOG!

See this article - https://www.techdirt.com/articles/20140217/10000126251/game-dev-derek-smart-again-responds-to-negative-review-making-vague-legal-threats-banning-commenters.shtml
LOL HeadClot sssshhhhhh don't say his name three times ;)

This was one of those games "back in the day" that I wanted, lusted over, waited for; for SOOOOOO long... and for some reason never picked up. I loved the options presented in all the previews, the feature set, the flight sim, the ability to *gasp* go from space to freakin' planet!?!?!?! It seemed like a combination of all the things I'd want to do in a game (Be Captain of the Enterprise / Star Destroyer / Capital ship like Starfleet Academy (though SA might have been later?)? Check. Flight Sim? Check. Manage systems and plot courses like the sub sims while charting my own path in a massive universe, yup, got it!) Despite all this, I NEVER picked up a copy! Even after it was sitting in bargain bins at $5 (which, for all but the most deer huntingest vaporware-y-est garbage NEVER happened "back then") I NEVER grabbed it - to this day I don't know why. The legacy of what happened after release only added to the mystery and humour of me never getting the game itself, after I SO wanted it during it's development.
I hope not, this Dev is childish, rude, and can't take any criticism. This guy is a joke and his games are garbage.
I tried to play All Aspect Warfare and i really didn't enjoy it. I just couldn't understand a single thing. I started the campaign in the middle of nowhere and then WA BAM got shot right in the face by an enemy that i couldn't even see. I'm not kidding, for some reason the graphics were glitched with my old HD5870 video card and some things were invisible (including the enemies), i still haven't tried it on my current video card, though.

I wouldn't mind seeing 3000AD's catalogue here, though. I would even buy some of the games for the right price (on sale), but i don't think i would ever pay full price for these games. All Aspect Warfare was didn't leave a good impression on me. It was so buggy that it was unplayable. Maybe the other games are better. For a low price i might give them a chance.
Oh sweet Jesus no!!!!

If you want to experience the games just pay someone a tenner to knee you in the groin. That's a bargain too! Think I paid 20 quid for Universal Combat.
Question is 3000AD an American or Eastern European/Russian Developer?

Because I have seen better games from Eastern European Developers (STALKER, Metro Last Light, etc.) and Russian Dev houses that were paid less and got less from financial arrangements but still managed to put out a quality product.

Same goes for some Asian Dev/Publishing Houses such as Spicy Horse, NCSoft, XLGames have made better games than 3000AD.

My only conclusion is that 3000AD is from

1. - a place where shit games are currency and is currently going through a regime change
2. - they just make shit games.

TL;DR - NO I do not want to see 3000AD's back catalog on GOG. I would rather be kicked in the groin with a steel toed boot.

Haha, crazy stuff. I'm not sure why he did not see that arguing with customers would have prolonged consequences, or why he feels the need to respond to people. There's no point in trying to correct a negative image by blaming everyone else and being unapologetic. That's just pointless arguing/trolling (trying to convince others that you're right and they're wrong) and a recipe for horribad PR. Just continue to improve your game and take criticism for what it is.

"And you don't have any of my games. People who own my games - let alone play them - have a lot more sense that you exhibited in your posts and here."

^That comment is...geez. He has probably dug his way to China. What ever happened to things like "That's unfortunate. I hope to draw you into this wonderful genre/universe someday so you'll see why I love it so much."? Niceness goes a long way towards profits. ^^
No.

the guy is a straight up knob and id say that to his face.
Looks like the Steam forums for 3000AD's Steam forums have gotten colorful...

I think that this is a clear sign that GOG should NOT put 3000ADs games up for sale on the site.
if the games were actually any fun or even good, you could forgive the guy for being a complete obnoxious tool, however, like him, his games are so full of their own self importance and overly complicated mechanisms, that they forget what they are trying to achieve, and he in turn instead of trying to listen to gamers, basically uses the excuse that "youre too stupid to operate my games, they are designed for awesome super amazing people like me"

yeah, alienate the very people you believe youre trying to market to.........

yeah cheers derek smart arse

f@cking billy smart more like

Aren't most of the early one's freeware anyway?
Not saying that more free stuff on GOG is a BAD thing but just pointing out you can give them a go for everyone's favourite price point if you like...
I heard these devs were basically a cheerleading squad for Starforce DRM back in the day...
