kentomatic: Oh, and while you're at it, buy Sacrifice. It's an RTS from the same team that created Earthworm Jim, but you actually play as a wizard who's down on the battlefield with your troops, so you can summon reinforcements and support spells (and by "support," I mean tornadoes, volcanoes, and even Death himself). It also comes with a map editor so you can create your own custom campaigns/multiplayer scenarios just like you could in Star Craft.
I was going to suggest this but I think it's a 9.99 GOG. At any rate Sacrifice was horribly underrated and amazing.

Well in that case I second your vote. You might think the god James looks a bit familiar...

Museum Madness.....I wonder how many know of this wonderful edutainment wonder? Crap ending though, for all the buildup. Still a good game though.

kalirion: Painkiller for $4.
Would you say the expansion is worth $4? I have the vanilla game.

rooshandark8: whats Divine Divinity's story about
Like the name subtly hints at, it's about the coming of a Divine One in the time of needs, as foretold by an ancient prophecy, and the bad guys trying to prevent that with their evil evil schemes of war between the 7 races. ;)

Nothing spectacular really but it's fun if you like exploration (it's huge) and Diablo-style combat with a great, varied and not too complicated selection of useful feats, more background info on the world, lots of sidequests, Ultima-style inventory system and NPC dialogues, overacted but funny voice-overs, excellent soundtrack and horrible pathfinding (well, you probably won't like horrible pathfinding but I was willing to put up with it because I enjoyed the rest).

I'd say it is. Not all of its level design is great though, maybe half and half, and you do get some overpowered cards. They also changed Eve's look in the cut scenes for some strange reason. But still, it's only $4, and you get the whole thing DRM Free, so go for it if you enjoyed the original.

It's about the same thing as every Tolkien-esque fantasy game is about. You start trying to save a village and eventually need to save human-kind from some ominous threat.

It's really quite average (so not bad, just not outstanding). Unpatched it had balance problems. Despite what class you choose to play you can buy skills from any class with pretty much no penalty. So your warrior can learn a meteor spell if you really want him to (I think base stats may be different, so warrior is probably the best choice).

You collect a lot of equipment and can use gems to improve them. Save frequently or you'll get into areas you may not be able to get out of and loose a lot of progress reverting to an older save.
