Rohan15: Ah, okay. Thanks :)
I have a similar thread posted on another site and I want to get their opinions as well.
What? You are cheating on us? Ah! Ah the wind out of my lungs, and a knife to my side! I have finally tasted life's misery, and soiled my spirit with tragedy.

...
Probably a good plan.

lol Well to be fair, the original build WAS off the site I posted it on and the forums is literally stuffed full of these guys.

Rohan15: So here is the newest build. I am thinking of buying this one over the rest of them.
This is why i love the internet and this site, I never even knew this site existed. This build look pretty solid. I 'rolled' a AMD system a few years back and found it to be just a good as any of Intel's offering. Good luck on your build.
After asking around on the site I mentioned, I got this build. It's much stronger and after potential rebates I will save around $100.
I love this man....Thoughts on the build?

I like what I have seen, but it almost seems like it should be more expensive. The video card is almost a hundred dollars more expensive than one you had earlier. Thats not a bad thing but you could probably buy the other video card and just have your pick of RAM. The combo deals really only save about 10$ per combo( which adds up) but if it means over buying on a part then its not really savings.

that said its hard to overbuy on a video card. If you can afford a nice card go for it. Also don't wait too long or some of those combos may expire, and that kit advises some cables and such you might not need IF you had to start trying different parts. It will probably go smoother if you can follow the plan to the letter/part.

Now get out there, get a rig, and start playing you some games!

Yeah i decided to buy this one. It will only cost $618 after rebates so I win either way. :D

Well, it's a nice one if one assumes that you will ( and will be able to, socket-wise) to change your CPU for a piledriver at a later stage. If it's not your intention, then imho, you would be happier with a slightly better CPU and a cheaper radeon GPU that will be better balanced. The 6950 is a beast, but there is no reason to have that beast paired with a FX4100.

Otherwise, if you think about an AMD build, I would tend to support a FX CPU rather than a phenom. You could for instance consider a FX4170 or a FX6200 CPU , together with a Radeon HD 6870 GPU
