Let's see who's the real survival and who's not? I dare you all to try this game, and see how long you'll last. My own record is surviving two winters, but sadly I don't have a screenshot, as I changed HDD's...

Anyway, the game's harsh, brutal, unforgiving and very rewarding. You've been warned.

Dare to enter the wilderness?

(The game is free. Though if you enjoy it, please consider helping the dev. The guy's super awesome)
no-one is brave enough ?
I saw this game a while ago... not sure why I still haven't tried.
Will try this out when I get time. Thanks for the link.
I used to play this a bit, I purchased it back before it was free, never really got into though. At the time my mainstay roguelike was DCSS and I like to concentrate on one game of a type at a time.
For anyone intimidated by this game, you should check out the livestream that Jefmajor did for this game. It's pretty much a 9 hour introduction/tutorial to the game. You can find the link to the stream here: http://www.unrealworld.fi/urw_links.html
Meh! I had 314 inches of snow this year, what has this game got on the U.P.?!
I bet you I can go 2 winters in there with my eyes closed, so long as I am supplied with a cushy log cabin, satellite tv, and an internet hookup. :D
Gave it a go, but it crashed. Not sure I will give it another go - not too fond of the interface.
Well, I managed to stumble into my own pit trap with spikes...

Did not end well.

Surviving the winter isn't all that hard, at least not if you master active hunting or trapping.

Hunting with a bow is quite challenging, but the trill of not knowing if you'll loose your prey after half an hour of following it's footprints is one of the best I've experienced in any game.

And being in a death's struggle with a bear, somehow managing to beat him down to earth, only to receive a deep gash in the leg and then another one in the ribs and falling into the abyss, man, that's what this game is all about. In a game of survival, you live or you get eaten by fucking wolves in spring.

Oh, and as for my current game in 3.18, see the picture.
