Is it to use it as an e-reader or as a tablet.?
As a tablet, these entry level 7 inches tablets suffer from their single core processor, from their limited ram and flash storage. You'd probably be better with a dual core A9 CPU, coupled to at least a quad core Mali GPU. And certainly you will want to actually see it in operation before you buy as screen quality can be an issue for those "value" brands
For the kindle, better make sure you can buy the e-books you want before you purchase it. We have a funny situation with that here in Belgium. Some French or British store will not sell us e-books due to" IP rights" ...
reaver894: I cant answer that but i do need to thank you, you just reminded me that I need to teach my old dear how to use her Nook (another e reader thingie) and find out if you can get books for free on it though I doubt that you legally can.
You can legally downlod any ebook that is in the open domain. Some services will provide them, along their paying titles. Of course, public domain books mostly predate WW1...
