the 1987 Amiga 500 was powered by a Motorola 68000 @ 7 Mhz
My first PC, in 1987 too, achieved a mere 8 Mhz
And you can find on GOG some games ( Red Baron I for instance ) that were in initially intended to play on 12.5 Mhz 80286s...
I spent 10 years with one of the 2Mhz systems as a kid an only ever recall it being slow when we had to load 1 game off tape, the rest were of floppy.
It wasn't until we got our first 20Mhz 386sx that I even realised clock speed meant anything. **sigh** memories lol
