OK. Here are my final entries.
The first is for the main contest.
The second is for the Realms of Arkania contest.

My entry for main contest - I am interested in Capitalism Plus and Populous (in this order).
Screenshot was taken in Guild Wars and nothing was photoshopped in, except text of course ;)

I'm closing the competition. It's going to be tough choosing the winners, I'll probably have to sleep on it. :)

However, regardless of winning or losing, I just want to say thank you for all of the submissions. It was a lot of fun seeing what you guys did with the games and the holidays. Best of luck and I'll announce the winners tomorrow.

Realms of Arkania:

There were 3 submissions: 1) The Ducks of St. Lucia (AFnord). 2) The Dragonborn faces off against the Santa Sleigh Dragon (oasis789). 3) The Avatar arrives for Christmas (adambiser).

This was a tough choice - three very different and very good submissions.

winner: The Ducks of St. Lucia! The artwork and color palette of the base image were perfect for a festive holiday image - very well chosen - and a slight tweak to the image made it representative of the Lucia holiday. Congrats AFnord! I will pass along SimonG's code for Realms of Arkania 1&2 to you via PM. I hope you enjoy the games!

General Contest:

There were 14 submissions from 9 people ranging from drawn comic strips to text adventures to doctored screenshots, from the humorous to the festive to even the sexy. Again, a most a difficult decision!

First place: A Wolfenstein Christmas (adambiser)! The shock value and the pixelated artwork fitting the game made this both a really funny and well put together piece. Congrats to adambiser on winning Realms of the Haunting and Lands of the Lore 1+2! Enjoy!

Second place: Christmas in the Druid's Grove (MonstaMunch)! Choosing a second place prize winner was even more challenging as there were plenty of good submission which could have easily won first place never mind second and choosing twice between all of them was hard. However, something about the congruous incongruity of this image appealed to me with Morenn as one of Santa's elves and an environmentalist druid replaced by a high-tech Santa. I found it both an amusing and creative take on The Witcher character/settings. Congrats to MonstaMunch on winning Dark Reign 2! RTS action awaits!

I hope you guys had a lot of fun making these images and seeing everyone else's submissions. :) Thanks for participating in the contest!
