I want to buy the game but I'm worried about keyboard only able to read 3 input at the same time. (instant kill seems to req 4 keys at the same time) So does conventional keyboard only read 3 keys? is there a way around this without getting controller?

edit Can someone who owns gog version of the game confirm if special moves can be bound to a single key?

It depends on your keyboard, some "gaming" keyboards advetise the fact that they have "6-key rollover", "20-key rollover" or, even "n-key rollover", each signifying how many keys can be held down at the same time, the latter meaning it can read the keys even if the whole keyboard is somehow pushed down at the same time - n-key rollover only seems to be possible on PS/2 though, not USB, not sure about 20.
It depends on the keyboard. Most keyboards can reliably detect any 3 keys simultaneously pressed (barring some unusual combinations like pressing both shift keys). For more keys, most keyboards fail at least at some combinations (unless specifically designed for it). However, different keyboard designs fail at different key combinations. So either you have a keyboard specified for detecting any x number of keys (with x being a number greater than 3), or you can try to find out which combinations the game in question is using, and check whether your keyboard can handle those (google for "n-key rollover test").

It's been a while since I played the console version, and I'm not sure if it applies to the PC version but I thought that, like many fighting games, there was an option to bind multiple attack buttons to a single key to help with special moves that require multiple attack buttons to be pressed.

Though, IK isn't exactly a viable strategy most of the time, aside from maybe getting lucky with a couple missions in mission mode that allows it.

yea I was wondering about binding special moves to a single key can someone confirm this? also I read somewhere instant kill is require to be use to play through 3 storyline something like that.
It's odd that it isn't something you would see listed in your hardware lists. Or a manual for the keyboard. At the very least, I would hope it's given in the hardware section for laptops.

If your keyboard is connected to the PC via USB you will very likely won't be able to have more than a three key rollover. There was a thread not to long ago that explicitly covered keyboards.

Yeah, the highest I remember seeing over USB is 6-key rollover.
It's very much possible to bind one key to press all four attack buttons at the same time, as well ss certain other combinations.
Just bought this and yes you can bind moves to one key. Trying to figure out how to config keyboard since the symbols are for system controllers however.

But first impression very cool game nice graphics/sound game play seems good too. Not to mention good price.
