Anyone ever tried this game? It's a free online FPS that uses Ken Silverman's Voxlap engine, allowing you to build/destroy anything. The developer describes it as "Minecraft meets Team Fortress 2"

It's surprisingly entertaining. Not genius, but still pretty fun.

EDIT: the old website seems to be offline, and the game is now hosted here:

Looks interesting I will give it a go = )
It looks VERY similar to another game I saw a video of recently, although that looked much more polished than this one. Can't remember the name though, but the concept was exactly the same, half Minecraft, half TF2.

Still, you gotta love the system requirements: "Your grandmother’s rig can run this game" :-D

Brick-Force?

Anyway, I played AoS a lot when it first came out. Was loads of fun for a good while.

Mephe: Brick-Force?
Yup, just found the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=6NvOtAkfpWM#!
I know another Ace of Spades:

It needs a lot of work (unsurprising considering it's still under development) but right now, it's an enjoyable game with a great - albeit unoriginal - concept.

But I fail to see the TF2 similarities. It play's more like the Counter-Strikes, the Call of Duty's and the Battlefield's. Which is fine, as again. it is fun, but seeing them market the game as something it isn't bothers me.
Just thought I'd bump this since the "new" Ace of Spades is out:

http://store.steampowered.com/app/224540/

Basically, the license got sold to Jagex, the same guys who did Runescape, and they decided to create a commercial version of the original freeware game. It's been getting pretty universally panned, by new players and fans of the original alike.

Anyone played it, and if so, what are your thoughts? Is the negative response unfair or justified?

EDIT: Oh, here's a new host of the old version.

The original link no longer works.
