Hi,

Can anyone recommend games that work well on Crossover Games (using Linux)? I'm not a big gamer, but when young loved Dune 2 (a LONG time ago) then Total Annihilation (have been playing the GoG version of TA), plus Populous II on the Sega, Settlers and so on. More recently, also really liked Neverwinter Nights.

So suggestions for RTS and role play games that run well on Crossover in particular would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Here is a of GOG games tested so far for Linux. Here are [url=http://www.gog.com/en/mix/mac_friendly_gog_games_4]two lists for Mac.

Some of them list CXG compatibility specifically, some list general Wine compatibility (and of course DosBox and ScummVM games).

Most of the games you listed: TA, Neverwinter Nights should work. Enjoy.

I am not a Linux user... but I checked out the list Crazy Dave provided and judging by what you like, I suggest these:

Stronghold and Stronghold: Crusader
http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/stronghold
http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/stronghold_crusader

Tropico Reloaded
http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/tropico_reloaded

Ceasar 3
http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/caesar_3

Those all seem like pretty good choices to me. As for good RPGs, well, I think Balder's Gate is the classic that almost everyone thinks is great...

Balder's Gate

But I say Fallout 1 & 2 is, hand's down, the best choices (and I'm probably not alone)
http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/fallout
http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/fallout_2

But, given what you like, I also think you might like these not so obvious choices:

Evil Genius

Master of Orion

Thanks guys, will check them out.
