We're back with GOG.com Affiliate Spotlight, where we're highlighting the sites that are among our affiliates and help us spread the good word about GOG.com.

This time the spotlight is on [url=http://www.scummvm.org/]ScummVM and its creators. What is ScummVM? Quoting the project's homepage: "ScummVM is a program which allows you to run certain classic graphical point-and-click adventure games, provided you already have their data files. The clever part about this: ScummVM just replaces the executables shipped with the games, allowing you to play them on systems for which they were never designed!". The program was originally designed to play LucasArts' adventure games that used SCUMM system, but it evolved through the years and now allows to play lots of other games on platforms other than those on which they were originally designed for.

We managed to ask couple questions to the two main guys taking care of ScummVM at the moment - Max Horn and Eugene Sandulenko.
ScummVM support for Grim Fandango, which can be very hard to get to run on a modern rig, would be nice.
I do smell Lucas Arts coming up!
ScummVM for the win. Not only does it allow me to play Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, but also Police Quest up to PQ3!

If so, I hope Grim Fandango is one of the first releases.
Excellent read! Lucas Arts games, please! )

Great to hear from the folks at SCUMMVM, great work they do there. Now as for Lucas Arts games you've got to 'Dig' it, now no more "Monkey"ing around and do those deals and go 'Full Throttle' on releasing them.

Enough hints?
it would be great to see lucasarts on gog. fingers and other things crossed. and while im at it tie fighter to kick it off! I already own most of their games and use scumm and dosbox, but would buy again in a heartbeat.

Actually there is http://residual.sourceforge.net/
but it seems to go on quite slow and I don't know why they didn't merge with ScummVM like those others did.

Actually it's the other way round, they started out as a subproject of ScummVM but spun off because it's too different to work within the framework of ScummVM which is great for 2D games but not so much for 3D-games.
I noticed that Quest for Glory was mentioned. Is something being hinted at here?

Just wanted to say a HUGE thanks to everyone involved in ScummVM. I've spent hours playing my old adventure games using it and it's great to see the community keeping the old classics alive (just like GOG has come along and done).
