I'm surprise nobody talked about it yet.
While I was watching a video from one of my favorite reviewers on youtube : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4rp2pg6228

He talked about a game that looked so original and interesting, I just had to put the video link here.

Official website link here :http://www.againstthewallgame.com/

Don't know anything about the game really, other than it's a freaking student that's been developing it, and it looks fan-freakin-tastic.

You can support him/ buy the game as pre-release, as it is still in Alpha phase.
Alpha mode is available for free, so you could test it all you want.

Do tell me what you think...
I found it got a bit tedious and I gave up on getting up to the windmill town thing after I fell down a bit, but it does seem very cool and definitely has a lot of potential. Looking forward to seeing how it develops.
It is interesting. It starts to get tricky when you get to the forest and really need to start planing your way. Until then I just kind of went with the flow. The graphics are very interesting, and it have the "need to see what comes next" kind of thing going for it.

At the moment it do get a bit to tedious in the beginning, it takes to long to get to the windmill and the lift, I found it easier to get up into the city, but it may be because I started to learn how it worked by then and found my way faster.

It is also very unforgiving, and I can see how one mistake can make a player stop playing if they have got a bit up, the checkpoints are good but if you have not reached one yet and falls it can be very frustrating and it may seem not worth it starting all over again.

The green and brown blocks in the forest need some tweaking, they move a little to fast, the big ones got all the way back in before I could cross them which meant I fell to my death, again... Those times it did not feel it was my fault, but that the game killed my from being unbalanced. It would be sorted by just speeding them down a little.

I really liked the flying eye/tree monster at the city (with the flower to lure you inn). It showed a sense of humour and originality. It has potential.

You know that you can save anywhere, right?
Checkpoints are there for players who forget to save, but otherwise I think you can pretty much save the game even during a fall :P

Play very nice. Hard to master.
It looks like it could be a fun fps puzzle platformer. I wonder what the final version will be like.

hah - no I didn't. Must missed it somehow.Makes it easier then, yes.
Tried the demo again, and with quick-saves reached the end of it without any real difficulties.

It is an interesting concept, not sure how well it will sit within any form of mass-market, may be a little to niche. Re-playability many also be an issue, but it is a problem with most puzzle type games.

I do want to see what comes next and climb further up the wall, the experience is not to taxing and I found it oddly relaxing. Would be fun to zoom far out and see the path I had made.

Not sure if the blocks are procedurally generated, there may be an issue where you get 'stuck' among large blocks, and the only option is to backtrack.

Anyway - thanks for making me aware of this one, I am going to follow it.
