New ARPG from Spicy Horse, now opening up registrations for closed beta.

Concept is Red Riding Hood in feudal Japan.... enough said.

The artwork so far look excellent and the gameplay seems very fluent.

Browser-based.

Free-to-play.

Don't mind me, I'm just going to go cry in that corner over there.

Edit: Though I'll probably try it if/when I get over myself. If only out of respect for the gorgeous artwork.

Akaneiro: Demon Hunters is a free to play action online RPG from Shanghai-based Spicy Horse. The new game site MMOWood posted most of Zynga games, and social game Zynga Elite Slots is the latest one. It features PVP system with the traditional social game formula and makes players feel different.

So I'm in the beta and while I dislike the idea of a browser-based game, especially of this sort, I honestly haven't had any problems with it. They're doing a really great job and it's obvious even at this stage. The graphics look just as great in practice as well.
Doesn't look that special or interesting to me

the fact that this is going to be "F2P" makes me care about it even less
I have also tried the beta a few times. The setting and art direction are very good, however the browser based nature do impede on game play mechanics to much. As it stays now, it is a flash game with high production values. I kind of wish they would expand on this universe in a more Totchlight kind of way.
Didn't they say that the game was done before, when the closed beta showed up in the Groupees Build-a-Greenlight bundle? Now they're a kickstarter campaign asking for $200,000.

They never said it was done, that's why the Groupees things was a closed Beta and not finished game. It is very much still in development.

Yup, the game is still buggy. :D
edit: Although, most of bugs are rather funny. ;)
