FlintlockJazz: Yeah, that makes sense (did I just say that a peppar mill machinegun makes sense? Well, I had to crack eventually I suppose...), noticed that they didn't seem to fire it for long in the other video.
It's Alice. Pepper mill machine guns makes perfect sense.

Yep, this looks fabulous!

Funny cause this franchise had always seemed - for me - very Burton-esque in its visuals. And now, since the first game, that franchise is now more Burton-esque that his own (ugly) movie.
Well, that looks suitably batsh*t insane for me to enjoy it. Might have to check out the original Alice game first, though...

Please do. Batshit insane is an apt description, also awesome.
Looks great... can't wait to play it. Can't wait to replay the original a couple weeks before it comes out too.

Yeah you're right, it's just the game that's insane, not me at all... ;)
Usually I am extremely worried about most remake/reboot/sequel of "old" games but here I am cautiously interested (I could even go as far as saying slightly optimistic).

I mean I like the original game but it's exactly a deep game with complex gameplay mechanics, it's a very basic platformer the only different/unusual thing about it being it's setting/story, so it's not like there is that much that they can "streamline" or "consolize" to death.

Heck, IMHO given the clunky controls of the original, as long as they keep the weirdness of the levels intact, it might definitely be an improvement over the old one.

American McGee has been sidetracked with projects like Grimm and Scrapland. Nice to see him returning to form.

This trailer got me pumped up in a way Skyrim wishes it could.
This made my day, thanks, looks awesome, even if it seems they kept all the jumping puzzles and a million ways to fall to your death.

I don't understand why people didn't like the Skyrim trailer, though, the one I saw made it look really cool (I think my daughter literally called it "kick ass").

I don't think the Skyrim trailer is bad. I just see it and think, "Great, another Bethesda game." I'll probably play it at some point, but nothing about it really stood out to me. It even looks like it will contain the same "open-world jank", because it resembles every other current-gen game they've released, with more particle effects and better textures.

Miaghstir: Looking good, looking good. Although I'm not sure about the machine gun, or whatever that was.
What? Alice was a third person shooter after all....

Third-person platformer maybe, certainly not a shooter.

Most weapons are shooter based. You can even throw your knife for far attacks.
Also, the game was made with the Quake engine. Same basic gameplay feature, thus I think you can call it a shooter.

Why don't we call Tomb Raider a shooter while we're at it then.

Second part of that demo that I posted earlier, watch the end bit at least, the expression on Alice's face and the Card-Soldier's response is just hilarious.
