GOG’s presentation at CDP Days brought [url=http://www.gog.com/en/news/heres_a_video_recap_of_gogs_presentation]a lot of exciting news. So much, in fact, that some of it might slip your notice, except this one: the original Alone in the Dark trilogy is again available to every PC gaming fan. To celebrate the arrival of those great titles, Cook decided to write up a retrospective article on how the first part in this cult series was created with a short interview with Frederick Raynal - the person who stood behind the creation process of the first part.

Lafazar: Dear GOG, I hope you are hard at work to bring us Little Big Adventure, another crown jewel in your ever growing collection of old gems. :)
Agreed! I would buy it for the soundtrack alone. That music was so beautiful!
The survival horror genre doesn't exist anymore? Then may I inquire about what you call the Penumbra games? Or Amneisa, the Dark Descent??
One of my all-time favourites, superior to its sequels, only wish the Q&A was more in-depth.

I had the game for mac on floppies. It had a higher resolution, better music and best of all, a separate key for running :)
Now I know why AitD 1 was so much better than AitD 2 + 3.

Personally, I prefer AitD2 to part 1 and I do like part 3 a lot, too. Interestingly, part 3 is the first I actually managed to finish.

I'll second Posidyn. AitD 2 and 3 are so much inferior than AitD number 1 (AitD 2 was playable, but unoriginal and plotless, AitD 3 was just painfully bad...not to mention AitD 4). And now at least we know the reason why: Frederick Raynal.

Back to the Resident Evil topic
I remember reading in a magazine that Capcom actually said that they invented the survivor Horror genre.
That really got me pissed me being a huge fan of AITD series.

May God bless LBA too, always loved the two games and never knew that it was from the same team as AITD1.
