I accidentally downgraded the AMD VISION engine control from 12.10 to 12.4. As a result; most of the options are missing. The amddriverdownloader.exe won't detect my AMD Radeon HD 7350. The autodetector say's it can't find my OS or hardware. I had to install the v 12.4 and I got the options back. Now here's the problem sets in. I clicked "check for updates" in the Vision Control Center. Then it updates to v 12.10 and most of the options are missing. Should I buy a new AMD video card or what?

OS: Windows Pro 64-bit

I would say uninstall all of it including the graphics driver then restart and then get all the latest versions from the AMD site (Driver etc) and do a restart.

Looking at what is missing I would say it could be a problem with the driver itself.

I would recommend downloading Driver Sweeper, install it, completely uninstall the 12.4 drivers, and then reboot Windows into safe mode. After Windows has loaded, run Driver Sweeper and have it look for any Radeon files that may not have been uninstalled and delete them. Reboot into Windows normally and try to install 12.10. That should work.

The latest version of Driver Sweeper is 2.1.0? From Guru3D.com? Got that in a zip file. I'll give it a shot.

Driver sweeper is no longer supporting newer stuff. It is now driver fusion.

Its the same thing as it is the newest variation of driver sweeper from the same devs. It just has a few more functions and supports more software.

Once you have uninstalled within the add / remove programs don't do the restart it requests. Run Driver Fusion and clean all the AMD Radeon stuff.

Now download all the latest stuff from the AMD site.

Now do your restart.

Windows will install the generic driver, once it has done that install the latest stuff from AMD and restart

Tried that and got the same result maybe I'm doing something wrong here. Another thing is that the amddriverdownloader.exe says that It can't find the product or OS. Anyway to get it detected or should I get a new low profile amd card?

From past experience AMD's driver downloader has been less than helpful.

I think you should dump AMD and get an NVidia card.

Ten years and they STILL can't freakin' write drivers for shit.

Edit: Also their automatic updater has always given me broken drivers, so just download the full package and try that instead.

Just replaced the Radeon 7350 w/ a 7750 and all of the options came back! Problem finally solved! Giving the 7350 the "finger".
