I really would love to see Amiga games on Gog.com!

I believe that the folks over at Cloanto purchased a license from Amiga Inc. so they can provide the necessary ROMs (To my knowledge Amiga Inc. did not sell out to Cloanto)

That would be the first step, licensing the Kickstarts (1.3;3.0;3.1;CD32;CDTV)...
Then we would need publishers of Amiga games so GoG can acquire the needed licenses - one is already on board -> EA (Popolus1+2,Powermonger,Syndicate come to mind rather quickly)
Then we would need a reliable source for the games&docs - The Software Preservation Society comes to mind.
The games need to be distributed as ipf (for the purists with real amigas) AND adf's

It is doable in my book I hope one day GoG.com sees this chance to expand their business - I am sure it would be profit for them as I and others too would buy ALOT of them old gems...

It might be doable, but it's probably not worth it for GOG.

I bough a few joysticks that have come with 50 - 300 Amiga games, and Amiga Forever comes with 100 top quality games for $29,99 (and that includes kick starts and emulator software). There are not many games people would pay much for.

I would like Amiga Forever to branch out, and sell collections of games.

I know that quality is subjective, but would you mind to elaborate and mention some of these top quality games? The lowest bundle doesn't seem to contain many a game worth the title ( http://www.amigaforever.com/kb/15-124 )

This - there are an awful lot of Amiga games out which the authors have put in the public domain (including Team 17, funnily enough, which granted Back 2 The Roots and Ami Sector One [RIP] the rights to distribute its Amiga titles for free). It just wouldn't be worth sellling them.

Face Off, Goal, Kick Off 2, Player Manager, Tactical Manager... Excellent games in my book.

That's five and not a hundred, even if one would be willing to grant them the title of top quality, which I'm not yet convinced a good majority of people would ;)

Most PC games from early 90s, have their better ports on Amiga. Not to mention exclusives......

I spend more time on my A1200, than any other platform in my life (well maybe psx could beat it). Seeing GOG support good Amiga emulation would be long awaited dream come true.

The Amiga was my system of choice back in the day. And, yes, very often in the late 80s and early 90s, Amiga ports were superior to PC version.

I really hope that GOG will one day offer Amiga versions as it's a pain to get Amiga games legally.

As a user of Amiga Forever for the last couple of weeks, I have to add that the games you can play with Amiga Forever are not limited to the ones contained within the package.

Once you installed Amiga Forever, the only thing you have to do to play any Amiga game is to download it and double click! Amiga Forever automatically recognizes the game and plays it with the ideal combination of roms, files etc.

My experience so far is that I do not need gog.com to bring amiga titles any longer. AmigaForever is already doing a great job.
