Yeah I saw that. Damn huge praise. He nailed everything about the game, which I agree with. It's far from perfect, but I'll be damned if it's not the scariest thing I've played thus far.

Amnesia is now out in a retail box from THQ for all you box collectors out there like myself.

I unplugged my internet when installing and verified it is DRM-free. It does have a serial code but it is just an offline check, like the old days.

It makes it look like it's marketed at 8 - 12 year olds. The original cover is classy and more reminiscent of the classic horrors that inspired this game.

Ahaha, wow. That is up there With the American Ico Boxart, probably even worse since the inclusion of a monster actually spoils the game.

That's terrible. The old art box with the rose was brilliant. A high res version of that one would have been much better, at least from my point of view.

I totally agree. They haven't made a game this scary since last year.

It's funny that Yahtzee has an article about terrible American box art and right around that time, as if to prove his point, this terrible box art is released.

There definitely is something innately chilling about box art with a gloomy background and a contrasting image - in this case a rose - in the middle of it. It creates various aspects of imagery in your imagination, but never what you'd really expect to encounter in the game itself.
