Mentalepsy: Spoilers for those who haven't played it...
My interpretation... there are some notes lying around that talk about one of the staff of the bunker who had been infected and started behaving in progressively more feral ways, culminating in his starting to kill and eat the dogs during the night. Philip also remarks that the gaping holes in the walls don't quite look like they were dug by animals.
I don't think you ever clearly determine what happened to the guy. I think the thing crawling around inside the walls is him.
Good catch. I must have missed that one and it explains a lot... That's one of these games you can't play enough, all the little details really come to shine out after several playthroughs. Btw "you are what you eat" :P
KavazovAngel: Spoilers:
I'm playing through Overture right now. Right now, I'm in that lab before section C where you find the documents about the worms, and that "person"'s writings about his past few days in that room.
So far, I LOVE the story, it really adds mystery, and I love how it develops, starting from the year 1925, all the way to 2001 (the present days).
Yes, the way the story unfolds is really well done. The End of Overture always gets me... it's shocking, sad and you feel like a bastard. Totally disheartening while RED's voice actor is just so good, props to him.
