I suppose this isn't pure coincidence:

If there would be an award for the best game nobody played, it would be Anachronox. That release would be on par with Thief II and Syndicate for GOG.
This is one of those games that I would love to see on GOG, just because I have heard so many awesome things about it but never got the chance to play it.
Anachronox looked great, to be honest. I only played the demo and I got stuck before things got interesting (but not after the game started to glitch on my).

Same here.
I heard that, like Advent Rising, it was intended to be a trilogy that never was. Without posting any spoilers, can anyone tell me how complete this game feels to those who have completed it?

from wiki

The story (...) ends on a major cliffhanger.

Well, bugger it. Oh well.
Everyone who has not played, defiantly should.

It was Tom Hall's other baby. That pretty much means you have to play it.
Well, the gameplay was rather, well, "to get used to" ....

For all the praise the game rightfully deserves, it had some drawbacks. I wouldn't be surprised if some people are going to be disappointed.

And the wiki does not lie. "A major cliffhanger" is about the nicest way of putting it; the story goes that even though sequels were planned, the original draft of the plot expected the first game to cover more ground, but they were slowly running out of money and time, so they cut it a bit short.

But it's absolutely worth it despite that.

To be fair, the pacing is still excellent for most of the game. The cliffhanger is well handled, better than you'll see in a big budget movie. There is still satisfying character evolution and you should enjoy your time with it. I left feeling positive for the heroes, which makes the possibly infinite wait for the main plot conclusion easier.
Whatever game comes out today I can't wait to find out. I still think there might be something special for valentine's day. Does Anachronox have any romance in it?
Be aware that Anachronox does not work with any Nvidia driver above 258.96 due to a required feature being removed in subsequent driver updates. So unless GOG have fixed that, I can't see the game getting a release.

Maybe they'll finally release Leisure Suit Larry...
