Aeria games just bought ijji from NHN:

http://grandfantasia.aeriagames.com/news/43659/aeria-games-acquires-ijji-games-in-conjunction-with-investment-funding-from-nhn-corporation

Aeria wasn't a little fish to begun with, but now I'm guessing that they will start hosting NHN's games and that's big juju since NHN is like the Korean version of Google mixed with SOE.

... I fully understand that this will be tot totally irrelevant to most of you, but its a pretty major combination if your into the whole F2P scene.
So now there's Aeria, SOE, Turbine, but what about NCSoft? They've done some big F2P releases.
Hopefully it'll make Aeria games less flaky. They seem to be a little too eager to simply drop games from my experience with them.
Nexon is all you need.

Bleh, I'm so sad that they dropped Turf Battles. The PvP in that game can be super intense.

For me it was Kitsu Saga, really felt bad that the money I spent on that game was pointless due to dropping it.
I was thinking more of Nexon, PWI, and now Aeria (that third slot has kinda been contested for a while now but I think this will tip the scales since NHN is such a major player in Korea).

I know SOE and NCsoft are big and converting to F2P but I still think of them as P2P companies (since that's honestly where their hearts are at), Turbine .... frankly, that shit ain't F2P (at best it could be equated to F2P's creepy uncle that it's parents intentionally don't talk about) and despite their current "popularity" I highly doubt we will ever see another title from them.

I'm more referring to the likes of GamersFirst, Alaplaya, Gpotato, and Gamigo. I know Frogster is kinda big in europe, but all they have on the international front is ROM, so I count them in the "one trick pony" category like Funcom. there's also a few other littler F2P portals but they are all too little or cater to a limited format of game (if you have played one Webzen title, you may as well consider yourself experienced in all webzen titles).

I feel you guys on being wary on Aeria's tendency to drop low performing titles, especially since I recently got into Grand Fantasia and it's not all that different from EE so I know I'm gamboling with anything I spend, but they also have DOMO which they have hosted since the dawn of time .... ehhh, their GMs are infinitely better than Gpotato or Gamigo, while Alaplaya gives me a bit too much lag being based in Europe and all ... GamersFirst's titles are not really my thing.

(who knows though, they will probably piss me off eventually)
Nexon FTW....anyone still play Dark Ages?
