GM: Any other plans for supporting indie developers? Getting into publishing?
I don’t think that we have any firm plans for anything along those lines, no.

Thanks, we need a central site/thread were all the links would be collected. Especially after the recent flood of interesting infos.

That would make it easier to ignore.

You could interpret that in different ways, I think. It's not necessarily a statement against indie titles appearing on GOG yet.

Yep, there is definitely (at least) two ways of looking at this.

1) GOG isn't going to fund indie developers (like traditional "publishers" do). Fine, I don't have a problem with that.

2) GOG isn't going to sell/distribute indie games. If this is the case, GOG's going to continue missing out on purchases I make on Steam because I can't make them here.

(Yes I could purchase indie games directly from the developers. Typically I don't. Some times the developers charge more on their site, eg. Spiderweb, World of Goo developers. But generally I just like have my games in fewer places - namely GOG and Steam at the moment.)

I hardly remember a thread like this and did a search, but found nothing. Next timeI find something of interest I will try to start such a thread.

Come on, it's at last better than thousands open letters or game request ;-) But it's ok, I also prefer a cleaner place.

I know, my assumption is a kind of speculative and so I posted the citation. Maybe I will edit that part so it's sounds not like a fact. Personally I guess if there is really something going on with indie games his answer would be more specific.
