how good is Desura?

It's good. Most of their installers are DRM free, so you don't necessarily need client. It's really nice to keep games, and has auto-update for games, and many bundles give Desura keys. Also, it's not memory hog, so you can keep it running at all times.

Pretty much this - although I'll add the bonus of the free games too (not just MMO stuff like on Steam) and access to ModDB / IndieDB too, so it has its uses.

It's useful for indie games. It's one of the only drm free alternatives to GOG. Although i don't think it is 100% drm free. Kind of like a mix between gamersgate and GOG. Kind of low key if you ask me.

Throught the web go to your account and games. It should generate an URL like this:
http://www.desura.com/members/ your user name /games

if yer using the site I can understand your confusion - but if yer using the client, goto "play" on the top left

Look near the top of the page, near the right-hand side. You should see your profile name (next to the 'logout' button). Click your name, then click the 'games' tab.
