Anyways, I'll tell you what I'm working on. I'm working on a diesel punk short story serial about an Seeker Adept, a specialized agent that actively seeks out and destroys the occult.

I working on the first short story, The Adept of Argantos, which is basically about the Seeker Adept being introduced into the society of Adepts, which is one the encourage being daring, intelligent, swift, and decisive, and his first mission hunting down a rogue demon.

Dieselpunk is my favorite thing ever.

I've been trying to get started on a psych thriller similiar to lovecraftian comsicism. Set in a college town where a few students are able to break free of perceived reality which sets off a chain of events that explore the line between enlightenment and madness. So hard to get started, where to begin?

Depends. How liberal (in the American sense) are you when it comes to tastes?

I write for a transgender fiction site. While a lot of the stuff there (including my own, more than likely) probably wouldn't be most people here's tastes, there are some excellent sci-fi and fantasy tales on the site, and if you feel compelled to delve into some of the other more subculture-oriented stories you might find a few other gems as well.

Me, though the only fiction I've had 'published' was the vampire movie I co-wrote a few years back.

I'm not assuming it is, but your disclaimer makes it sound like every chapter is going to end in transgender erotica. I love non traditional characters but there is only so much I want to know. :)

This is probably a good excuse to get back to writing. The more time I spend talking about teaching the craft and process to non-native speakers the more I miss writing.

The ability to create this entire world, and reveal a new story to others is something which I greatly miss.

And, I definitely wouldn't feel too bad about being too cheap to pay, having somebody to look over a draft is an oft sought after service.

While there is an element of sex to a lot of stories on the site -- it's inevitable, really, given the number of sub-groups that all share the label 'transgender' -- the site I post for is one of the cleanest sites you're likely to find concerning TG fiction. A good thing, too, since I'm a bit of a prude and don't like blatant sex in what I read or watch.

I tend to write more teen romance type stuff, though I've also got a superhero story going right now, a genre that seems to be fairly popular at the moment. Things can post kind of slow, but there's a huge backlog of stories (this iteration of the site opened in 2005) with a lot of great stuff to read. Here's a few recommendations:

"The Unicorn's Gift" by Sarah Lynn Morgan
"The Rusted Blade," can't remember who writes it, but it's going up right now
"The Queen Rider" by Joanna Foxcourt -- only read if you like the Dragons of Pern, though

-Sci Fi-
"Firefly: Changing Planes" by Randalynn -- a Firefly fanfic, quite good

There's a lot of GREAT stuff there, if you dig through for it.

Though now I have to hope that the reveal of my gender status doesn't adversely affect people's reactions to me here... :(

Haha, I figured but it was worth the reaction. I do find it is unfortunate that there is a stigma attached to these labels, though. LGBT=Erotica. Black=Poor acting/empowerment/rapper cameo. You could largely blame hollywood for genre stereotypes but it all starts at home.
As for your orientation, last I checked this wasn't GOBG (Good Ol' Boy Gamers).

Anyways at hedwards: I know how what you mean, I just getting of a half year hiatus of writing. I really miss making* characters that I would love to hang out with, and stories the pull on the readers emotion, like pain, anger, happiness, and sadness.

Also it anyone doing anyother kind of punk? Like Dungeon punk, steampunk, cyberpunk, nanopunk, and the like?

The writers greatest enemy is a blank page, describe the characters, summarise the story, write the scene that gave you the idea in the first place, hell fill it with crap if you have to but its just a matter of starting

I haven't done any writing in some time. I would post something if I didn't lose it all when my last computer crashed.

Some of GOG's talented writers submitted their works in an old competition of mine.

That reminds me, I should get the next one ready for launch.

Give me about a week's time and I'll write something for you. It's good practice after having not written short fiction for so long.
