So, I'm going through my backup drives trying to free up a little bit of space. Many of my GoG games have multiple versions that I've downloaded without deleting the previous version. As the title states, is there any way to tell what the updated installers added or removed? At first guess you might assume it's a no brainer to only want the latest install, but I noticed that with the very first game I checked (Conquest), the updated install is smaller than the previous version. What was removed from the game with the new install (The first version claims 113mb needed for install, while the updated claims 95mb)? I already checked the Conquest sub-forum for an answer.

I have many other games to check though so I'd rather have a more generalized solution rather than having to ask for each game I have with an updated installer. Thanks in advance!

Is Conquest a DOSBox game? In that case they might have changed the format of the CD Audio, encoding it as OGG Vorbis instead of the original CD Audio/bin file.

As for your original query, no, there isn't any simple way of knowing the changes, GOG doesn't publish changelogs.

I appreciate the response. I haven't actually played Conquest yet but I believe it's a DOSBox game. I had initially checked subforums of the games expecting to find answers there but I completely missed the "What did just update?" thread in the general discussion forum, so I assume this thread is now pointless. Hopefully I can find all of the info I need in that thread.
