Just desperately need ideas and pretty much anything will do at this stage.
Do you have to be self-employed? If you like cooking, try to open a better diner. Or if you live in a big city, maybe city guide is a possibility. Otherwise and if moving is not a problem, why not take a job somewhere else .. wherever they are.
Something you don't have in Ireland: Irish Pub?

^Above(Trilarion's post) or tell us what are your interests in. You could combine some of them (example: singing,
dancing, etc). Start with your interest and go slowly beyond them with something new. For now
this what I can think of :)

Everyone is giving me service ideas, I'm meant to think more product ideas for the project so if anyone has anything like that.
What scale are we talking? A school project?
Aside from that, maybe browse kickstarter.com for a bit and pick up some inspiration?
Try designing a cold drip coffee brewer without the 600 dollar price tag.
What's this for, McDon? A homework project? A little context would be helpful.
Hmm... there are tons of things I could think of, which are absolutely required, but they don't
exist. Mostly because it's too difficult to set them up. But the entrepreneur has to figure that
out. Behaving in an average way won't suffice. You'll have to tear barriers down.

A year round project for a competition but I doubt I'll have it set up by then so just sell for pure €€€.
Borrow an idea from CMOT and out out and try to sell a sausage inna bun to random people too drunk to know better? It's all about getting it to smell good?
A refilling teapot (or coffee perculator). It's always annoying when someone takes the last of the tea / coffee (not that I touch the stuff). Invent something that detects when the level is low, and auto-brews a new batch. Always on beverages!

... That's probably been done, but the guys at work seem to constantly be making tea, so I can't see why there's not a preloaded supply.

I was thinking of a self-stirring mug using a whisk and battery but probably too mad of an idea :)

No dude, magnetism is all you need. Have you never heard of a stirrer hotplate?
