This is AD&D that will probably kill you if you don't play very well and may kill you just due to poor luck.

No pen and paper love, huh? I'm wrapping Christmas gifts full of deadly traps for each of you. Expect to be saving vs. instant death in the near future.
Always wanted to play a Pen & Paper game like DND, though never had the chance to. :<
What is this? I don't want to click on the link, I still don't understand how copyright laws for D&D work.

They are a bit on the confusing side, are they not? I'm not sure either, but just from my random observations, it would seem like the core system for anything up to 3.X is free for anyone to use and modify, just as long as you don't use any specific names that is owned by WotC (that is why the acid arrow in Pathfinder has a different name than the one in D&D (Melf's Acid arrow is its D&D name).

I just skimmed through parts of the page, and it would seem like this is no different from fan created adventures that are put up online, so it should be legal(ish), and WotC probably don't mind. These things helps sell rulebooks after all.

I'm not a big fan of D&D. I love pen & paper, but D&D is just a bit too limited for my taste. I prefer more open ended systems, like Storyteller, or the one found in Eon. Class based systems have never really been my thing.
Used to play play D&D until the group fell apart.
If I still had people to play with I might've tried this, although this is the first time I've seen someone give a name to the philosophy.
I used to run all my games like this when I started DMing/GMing, but the players got too attached to their characters so I changed to a friendlier style.
