Competition for developers is fierce these days yet so much broken crap is still getting released.
I stopped and thought about if for a moment and realized that you could post up any old piece of crap on a digital retail site (remember "Save The World Collection"?) and immediately you're going to sell enough to keep you funded while you make the next - Even if those hundreds of buyers scream and cry in the game's board you don't have to reply - Just crack out the ol' Game Maker again and change your developer name when you release your next masterpiece.
In fact..even months after the initial disaster your game will begin appearing in bundles with good stuff so you're still scoring.
