Edit: After GOG's most recent update to the Thief games, they now work on my Surface Pro! ;)
I picked another game at random (Torchlight) and it worked as long as you didn't try and force fullscreen or mess with the resolutions too much.
Neverwinter (non-gog, MMO) worked just fine with no issues.
This is all I've tried.

You can play dosbox games from gog via a program DosBox Turbo (it is availible on the google play), it also is possible to play Baldurs Gate games, and propably some others.
You can't play them 'out of the box' though, for this you'd need a tablet with Windows 8.
