Saw they have Indigo Prophecy here, heard rave reviews about it are thinking of giving it a try, it says on the game page that it is uncut and uncensored. So I am wondering if there is a region lock on it to prevent its usage in some countries.

I did a forum search, some of the the topics and posts concerning region locks were not as specific as I would have hoped.
With the possible exception of Witcher 2 (not sure about that one), there are no region restrictions or differences for GOG games.
No. With the exception of The Witcher 2, there are no regional differences in any of the games.
No, none of the games are region locked with the exception of the Witcher 2. Unfortunately, I see you're in Australia and therefore would be affected by the regional locking (it's a censorship thing).

But yeah, Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy is the name of the censored US version ;) ) isn't region locked at all. The Witcher 2 is the only game locked (it's because it's a new game).

Also, it's worth noting that because the games are DRM free, the only chance they'd have to region lock is at the time of purchase. I believe if you were to "go on a holiday" to somewhere other than Australia or New Zealand then you'd be able to buy the uncensored version of the Witcher 2.

EDIT: That's what I get for typing 3 paragraphs, ninja'd!

You'd have to use a VPN, though. Changing your country in your profile is not enough anymore due to the French court's ruling that enforces IP geolocation.

Oh I know. That's what I meant by go on a holiday. ;)
That or actually go on a holiday, either would work.

I wouldn't say age has anything to do with. The problem there is agreements with certain publishers and the fact that one of them had a hissy fit and took the devs to court over it.

Yeah, that's what I was referring to. I meant the fact that it's new is the reason it's still subject to that agreement. I'm sure in 5 years it'll just be another GOG.
Cool, means I can get it next week.

I don't need to worry about Witcher 2 tho, I imported it to get around the archaic censorship of my country.
The Witcher 2 thing isn't even a big deal, it's trivially easy to un-censor it. The only difference is two missing files in the CookedPC folder, which are freely available to folks who want them.

AFAIR, you can't also buy Postal in barbaric countries like Australia.

Sure you can. All games on GOG are available world-wide, the only difference (so far) is the version offered of The Witcher 2.
What! I'm in Australia too. What did they censor?

Is it true that they've censored the new Syndicate out of existence too?
I think the new Syndicate isn't going to be released here. As for Witcher 2, one of the quests gives you the option for either money or sex. The Aussie version just has the gold.
As long as the GOG version of Giants: Citizen Kabuto shows some nipples, everything's fine.
