So it turns out EA Origin just overhauled their entire help system again. Which means that for some reason I can't get in contact with customer support anymore.

I bought Sim City 4 Deluxe and wanted to register it on Origin, see. Since it's on the list of games that can be activated there. But the code doesn't work. So the forums say, contact support! But I can't. The only thing that damn site tells me how to do is add MP3s to the game, or go to the forum.

The forum is full of people asking how to contact support.

Just when you thought EA Origin's support couldn't get worse, it does. >_<

I love EA (I've got dozens of them!) but their support system has been total shit since back when they were putting out Genesis games.

Too many companies seem like they don't want to be bothered by offering sufficient support. They make it unnecessarily complicated, probably to weed out people like me who end up getting frustrated and say "Why bother?" It's rather sucky.

"Register at our site. Register your game. Create a separate help account. Send us a message using only these options, none of which will actually help you. Wait for an automated response that doesn't address your concern. Try again." Ugh.

Wait, I'm talking about Origin, not Steam support. :P

Yeah, I know, but I don't have any experience with Origin. I just figured in general companies aren't very good at solving problems. :-)

Yes, but I thought that was the point of EA Origin. Wasn't that platform invented to raise 'suck' to a form of art? ;-)

I still haven't gotten my copy of Crysis working. It's been like, four months. Disc version worked just fine. Origin version? Not a thing. I just redownloaded the installer, again.

I just spent ten minutes talking to an advisor, and he was actually pretty helpful. He said that keys from retail copies -cannot- be added to Origin (despite what the Origin redemption page says.) But he verified it was a legit key, so he went ahead and added the game to my account.

It turns out you have to contact them for -Origin- related issues. NOT game related issues. Sheesh...

Since we are bashing EA, Currently my only issue with them is the fact they are not putting some titles on steam.
