Vote for it on the wishlist.

And who are these "We" you are talking about? I've never heard of the game, and I certainly haven't seen a lot of forum discussion about it.

We've actually had several of these threads about this game. I would like to see it here too. But given that we have EA churning out the classics at the moment, I don't think it's on the horizon.

Not enough for me to notice, and I'm on the forum every day. Suffice to say that the joint GOG community have not been clamoring for this game for ages.

"I want" != "Everybody wants"

And making a thread full of caps and exclamation marks is certainly unwarranted in this case.
The title sounds cool...what's it all about?

I'm not trying to, or am interested in defending the OP. I'm just saying this is one of the few pre-millennial racing games I'd actually want to buy again now.

It's a sci-fi racer set on a planet that is being consumed by some kind of growth so people are competing in this race using self-built vehicles to win the few remaining tickets off that rock.

Sounds cool...I wonder what kind of growth it is.

Okay, that does sound kind of cool. I'll check it out.

What adds a sense of immediacy and purpose to the game is that as you progress you see the landscape twisted into inhospitable alien organic shapes. You've GOT to win. It's not just another championship it's a means of survival.

Yeah, I remember POD, that was awesome fun.

Also, Motorhead. I'd snap 'em both up in a heartbeat if they appeared on GOG.
^^^

Seconded.
Aaaaaaah POD means Planet of Death.

I did not finish it but my brother did. He told me that at the end, the planet turns into a rose. I thought he was mocking me, until now (I have just watched the end, wft??)

I remember Hi-Octane as really fun also, but POD created a standard: physic is just beautiful, circuit designs are just calibrated and really different, vehiculs are many and really different to drive, IA is well calibrated, mood and ambiance are unique and the end is beautiful (can be found on youtube), playing it on network or at two on splitted screen was exciting (pushing rivals in tactic point, discovering shortcut in the thick scenery,...).

WE WANT POD :oD

join now the POD lobby ;o)

Ps: I forgot the sound..the increadible futuristic sound with light reverb, the sound of the menu and the music (in the mood of Bladerunner).... :oD and the game mod with damages!

Beltane+menu
Bank one of the circuit
