You know how that board game Battleship is being made into an action film? Well like all films these days, there's going to be a video game as well! And it's going to be a shooter/strategy game. What could go wrong? Except for, you know, everything.

Haha, first time I saw the trailer I thought "oh man, Mr. Bay is at it again."

Then I saw it was directed by Peter Berg, remembered that he did Hancock, and was subsequently even more disappointed.

Battleship: The Video Game? Shouldn't it be Battleship: The Classic Naval Combat Game: The Movie: The Video Game?

That really going to be silly. Saw the movie trailer a while back.....anyone else think its going to be a flop??.Did they really have to reveal the ship in it??.argh...

I don't understand any of this. None of it begins to make sense.

To quote some film reviewer (I forget which one)... "Hancock was the best first half of a superhero movie I've ever seen, and the worst second half of ANY movie I've ever seen." Which I agree with completely. It's rare that a movie can build up such high hopes and then shatter them, WITHIN THE SPAN OF THE MOVIE ITSELF. Which is almost an accomplishment, really.

I love camp and kitsch. I welcome this travesty with open arms. I'll probably rent it, or buy it on the cheap, and marathon game it with my buddies.
