A lot of Freespace 1 and 2 recommended here. There's no doubt those are both fantastic games - but no mention at all of I-War? I'd rate Independence War Deluxe as high as Freespace 2.

Arcanum - and you can get it now for half that - its a steal.

The best game on GoG is Arcanum. It's the best CRPG game or RPG game that I've played and having been gaming since '78 that's a whole lot of RPGs I've gone through including Quest for Rings on the Odyssey 2 and Dragon Stomper on Atari 2600.

In fact, Arcanum is such an awesome game that I refused to purchase it on GoG because I already owned a hard copy. =D

I can't believe no one's mentioned Total Annihilation yet. What an incredible game, even though it's more than a decade old. I just about fell out of my chair when I saw that it was available on GOG, and for a price that makes it an absolute steal.
