As Navagon and others have noted, the whole idea behind this "Revival" seems pretty pointless. Even though Vampire never looked particularly stunning or polished from a graphical standpoint it has never been in desperate need of an upgraded engine per se; just a better, less buggy implementation of the one it already has (the original Source worked just fine for Half-Life 2's initial release, for example). This is where the unofficial patches come in, and that project has been producing actual results for a very long time now. Moving to a "new" engine seems like it would only multiply the difficulties tenfold by basically requiring changes to take place on an even more foundational, structural level than the unofficial patches.
I thought I'd never say "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" about Bloodlines but with Revival having this particular focus there isn't much else that one can say...
